There is no "gun control" problem in our country. What we have is a sin problem. Until people realize this, nothing will change. The Gospel is the answer, not fallen man's corrupt laws.

To be perfectly honest, as a reformed Baptist evangelical, I don't think we should be wasting too much time with politics anyway. The problems with this country are not political..they are moral. America is awash in sin, and it loves it. One cannot turn one's head to the left or to the right without being suffocated by it. Therefore, as it says in Romans, this nation is under judgement. Pray for it's leaders, pray for revival, but don't waste time in politics. If you want to make a difference, preach the gospel. Change men's hearts. That is the only solution. You can pass all the moral laws you like and it won't make a difference. Repentance and faith in Christ is the only solution.

From the Leadership Development site of the National Prayer Breakfast. "This interfaith gathering features speakers focused on affirming commonly held religious values and putting aside political differences. National and world leaders have read from the Bible, the Torah, and quoted the Koran. To read more, please click here." Tells me all I need to know. I bet they don't preach the Gospel. You you never hear of grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, based on Scripture alone. Putting the Holy Scriptures up with the Koran? Blasphemous.

Idolatry gives no honor to God, but rather incites Him to anger and wrath. But this is nothing new. It's been going on since the fall of man. And people wonder why things are so wrong with this country (and the world). Romans 1: 18-26 says it all. Face it folks. This nation is under God's judgement. We are wretched, totally depraved, and heading for our part in the eternal lake of fire. But there is Good News. Jesus died for sinners like us. Repent, put your trust in Him and you will be saved.

Any discussion about this topic that doesn't begin with sin, man's total depravity, and his need for a Savior is not one worth having. Gun control won't put an end to sin. Psychiatrists won't do anything for man's total depravity. The government is not a savior. Repent and put your faith and trust in Christ Jesus alone. Only a heart that has been transformed through the free gift of grace will make a difference.
That's Israel coming out the other side...Palestinians dead.
This won't last long. We'll be hearing about more rockets and suicide bombers in no time. This thing won't end until one side or the other is dead. My money's on Israel.
The Beatitudes have nothing to do with being a citizen of this fallen world. They define the requirements of being a citizen of heaven. They point out the spirit of the law, rather than the Pharisee's interpretation of the law. The beatitudes are impossible for man, in his fallen state, to live up to, hence the need for a Savior.
All the ills for our society? Really? I guess rampant sin and rejection of God have nothing to do with it. Focus less on politics and more on people's heart to remedy societies ills.
The louder you guys scream, the more pleasure I take in your defeat.
This is not out of context. Your "messiah" nailed himself to his "cross" and he will go down of his own accord. You are just angry about it.
