How much cooler does it keep the inside of the car ? Is it enough to warrant the extra cost ? If so could this be sold as an upgrade rather than a goverment mandate so that those people who want it can have it and those that don't can pay for the extra fuel . airconditioning is not that big a drag on your mileage anyway i see no change at all in my dodge 2500 i get 18 to 20 miles a gallon no matter what .

Just what is it about California and its government’s increasingly creative ways of screwing up stuff? The latest example comes from the California Air Resources Board, aka CARB, the state’s evil twin of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Seems CARB wants to have all carmakers glaze car windows with tiny flecks of metal oxide.
