Well, I think that's kind of the point. It should be up to the parents and not the government to teach the kids healthy eating habits. Trying to make the kids eat healthy in school if there not doing it at home is gonna cause issues. Even in a small town where I live we have these issues. My sister's kids come home hungry from school every day and they aint big. Heck my nephew is tall and thin as a rake. He eats pretty healthy on his own, preferring salad to hamburger, and he says the school lunch is no good. One day he said all he got was 1 corn dog and some apple slices and that's 6th grade lunch.
In Wisconsin, high school athletes are complaining about not getting enough to eat each day, due to the skimpy new school lunch menu mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The story we published earlier this week on that subject is unfortunately not unique. Students across the country are complaining about the new school lunch regulations.

Perhaps the real motive is to starve students into slimming down. Just ask students in Pierre, South Dakota who, too, are in an all-out revolt.
