The ability of Congress to tax us is where the problem is rooted. They get away with all of their games, specifically because the vast majority of US are too busy working, and playing to be bothered with what Congress is doing to us. The IRS code is the single best example of government out of control. Obamacare is next at some 20K pages that no one read before voting for it ! Is Romneycare better? I have no idea. Does a poll you quote prove it is? I don't think so. What provisions are there to spur R&D while also holding down run-a-way costs? Who's picking up the tab for the illegals if not the rest of us? I'm pretty sure that the founding fathers would be considered revolutionaries - now called right wing extremists and terrorists.

Out of relief and gratitude for his having saved Obamacare, he is being compared to John Marshall and Oliver Wendell Holmes.

Liberal commentators are burbling that his act of statesmanship has shown us the way to the sunny uplands of a new consensus.

If only Republicans will follow Roberts' bold and brave example, and agree to new revenues, the dark days of partisan acrimony and tea party intransigence could be behind us.
