Israel Faces The Cynical World

For some people to get upset over circumcision but not be bothered by elective plastic surgery, and abortion, seems illogical. As a man, I can appreciate the discussion of whether or not circumcision has any medical value, or if it has any substantial impact on sexula gratification etc., but while I don't deny the fact that it hurts evidenced by common sense and observation of a baby's reaction, I have no memories of it, and I really like the results. How Miss Glick jumps from circumcison to the Iranian nuclear program, I don't understand. Then again the whole middle east political mess seems clearly more resultant from Arabs and other Semites not being willing to change away from stone aged values. Israel is not perfect eithe

It's an Obamanation! Why didn't I think of it before? If American's are so smart, why would they elect a poser like Pres. Obama? Well, they weren't given much of a choice with the Republicans clown ticket, but Obama was total BS. If he was a rich white guy like John Kerry, I'd say the same thing.
We're talking to ourselves, because the other 50% who elected all of these Liberals, and the communist in chief are not interested in any facts. As long as you have a job, or a business that's not going under, you can call the economic problems a recession. If you're out of work, losing your house, or losing your business, you will call it a depression. If you add up all of the people not working who wish they were working, I think it's more like 24%. Why don't you see all of those people protesting? Because welfare including unemployment, food stamps, etc. is keeping them from starving in public. 1930 had soup kitchens serving thousands a day, now you just don't seem them except a the super market check out line.

FC: Thanks for your quotes from founding fathers. In a rush to cover decades of far less important ourstory, most public schools fail or refuse to study the words, and concerns of our founding fathers. personally, I know next to knowing, but I'm not surprised when I read what you shared, and I agree. If we want to stop some 25,000 or more senseless deaths a year in the USA, all we need to do is ban the automobile! The anti gun nuts are just that rediculous. On the other hand, I believe strongly that while we don't need gun registation, we do need mental health and criminal checks before the unsuspected become the infamous. No system is perfect, but we have thousands of laws we don't want or need, but no preventatives for this.

Myths We Live By

Anthony444 Wrote: Aug 01, 2012 2:36 PM
Most of us never had to pay any price other than taxes and the bad government they buy. Any war movies depict the real price that many millions have paid, and are still paying. As we see revolutions taking place in the middle east, that demonstrates just how bad things need to get before most people say no more - we're going to fight this. People in the US are so out of it, many only worry about themselves, and whatever trivia is crucial to their current entertainment. That is not everyone. Americans are also the best and brightest on this planet. I wish I could say the same for our political leaders.

Government may serve the people, or government may force the people to serve it. How each issue is viewed by a majority or minority, depends primarily on the perspective of the individual, not some grand judge who acts to insure fairness in opportunity and outcome for all. We need pro active environmental protection as we are killing ourselves and the planet with poisons. It's easy to deny if you feel great today, and impossible to deny if you have cancer tomorrow, or if you watch a science show that tells you 90% of all large fish are now dead. Being out of a job is terrible no matter what age a person is, but having worked in one field for a lifetime may make it harder to see opportunities elsewhere. Most of us have many talents!

Though I have not problem rewarding honorable military service with citizenship, I don't like the idea of having non Americans in the US Military unless necessary. Military service is not necessary to be a great leader, we've had both great and great disappointments who are Vets.

Our problem is not rich Ivy leaguers, or self made millionares like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, our problem is the uneducated, and Liberal Progressive voters who put them into office. I can't fathom why anyone can claim voter intimidation by being required to show proof of citizenship before voting? I don't get why people who are on government assistance are allowed to vote more of it for themself? I don't get why anyone or corp can give money to any campaign as opposed to only giving to a candidate you can vote for.

President Obama, former constitutional professor, is too good to make mistakes, so if he said it, it must be true. Right? Well, yes, if you drink the Kool-Aid.
You just wanted to encourage others to make the efforts it takes to get what you have. I differ on is the concept of what people need to give: the formula is simple 100%, or all you have. The key to the success of it is that it only works if the other person is of a like mind and behavior. It doesn't matter of the people are extremely unequal in what they bring to the marriage, as long as they are both committed to giving eachother all they can, because when we know our partner is doing all they can, we can't reasonably be disappointed. The biggest problem is people entering the relationship without being completely honest with themself about what they want, need, and are willing to give.
