This is the most absurd argument I have ever heard. I have traveled all over the world I would not dare step out of my hotel room without my passport and visa. Some of the toughest scrutiny I receive is guess where Mexico go figure. If i were to get caught driving without a my DL I do believe here in Texas they would throw my butt in jail.

I am a Mfg. Engineer (30+ years) and have watched what free trade has done to my industry. It simply has been devistating. As part of my job I have worked on transferring manufacturing operations to China and Mexico and then see the plant in the US close. My current company has ceased its manufacturing operation in the US and moved it to Mexico thus eliminating over 300+ American jobs. Now I am seeing the service jobs being outsourced to India and China. Instead of free trade we should have balanced trade. We will not be the most prosperous country in the world with all the good paying manufacturing and service jobs being outsourced. I guess I could go to work in the financial industry where I could legally steal for a living.

As an ex-Republican now independent I hope the GOP finally gets the message and gets back to conservative values. Less goverment,less taxes and more individual freedom. I know my local TEA Party does not endorse canidates but looks to get out the vote for canidates who adhere to the above core principles. The problem with all these altruistic pie in the sky plans is the goverment will not enforce them. They will promise everything to get this 12 million legalized and wait for the next influx of illegals. I live in Texas and I see every day what a burden these people are to society. We do not need another 12 ro 20 million undereducated and or illiterate people in this country. The CEO of my company wrotwe an op-ed for a local paper basically saying that the cost of our healthcare will go up and the company might consider not offering coverage. Cat has now indicated that they estimate this bill will cost them $100 million the first year. If it is too expensive companies are going to drop coverage or move more operations overseas or Mexico. I have been paying into this corrupt system for 40 years by mandate not choice. Now that I am nearing retirement they want to cut benefits. If I had use of this money for the last 40 years my ROI would certainly have been better. These guys (politicians) make Madoff look like a rank amateur.
