You talk as if this was some kind of Dem vs. GOP game. These are my hard earned dollars you're talking about, not political party gamesmanship. Not only that, do you really believe that if tax rates go up, even assuming the predicted revenues are collected, that those funds will be used for reducing the deficit instead of increased spending? That has *never* been the case before. Never. The only time that deficits have gone down is when the economy grew. Our fiscal policies need to be aimed at that goal.

Eugene Robinson is one of the group-think columnists at the Washington Post. Like E.J. Dionne, he is an utterly predictable proponent of big government. So it won’t surprise you to know that he wants taxes to go up and he’s a big fan of Obama’s class-warfare agenda.

He’s also a very partisan Democrat and wants the GOP to lose. Again, that’s not exactly a stunning revelation.
