Wise up! The Great Society movement worked exactly the way the liberals/progressives planned. They had no intention of "helping" the black community succeed or grow, their goal was to achieve total dependence on Government, i.e., keep them uneducated, poor, unemployed, etc. and keep telling them how you're on their side, while in the process you've dumbed them down to the point where they actually believe that the liberals/progressives care about them and their welfare (not "welfare" as in free money but "welfare" as in succeeding in life on their own initiative). Score one for the bad guys!

I think their answer would be "it's only fair and right when WE do it - you're not allowed to play. YOU'RE supposed to compromise and join in bi-partinship unity. Of course, we would NEVER treat you with "contempt" - except when we get our clock cleaned at the polls and have nowhere else to turn! Congressman Issa has give us all renewed hope for the future. Never in my many years on this earth have I observed a more offensive and arrogant individual than Henry Waxman. His sanctimonious attitude toward his "subjects" was an insult to the citizenry of our country whom he purports to represent and to the House of Congress. My sainted Mother would have called him a "Schoolyard Bully" - always daring someone to knock the chip off his shoulder. Thank God, Congressman Issa is about to do so! Joanelle
