Third party candidates are deliberately silenced by the Democratic and Republican establishment.

AT times like this, I think back to that book written by Tom Clancy where he has a plane take out a joint session of Congress (scarily prescient to 9/11). Those left encourage voters to elect anyone *except* politicians to replace them. It's interesting to contemplate whether or not electing normal people instead of lawyers and power-mongers would make any difference.
