If it is by a private org .. what is the big deal ... this article tried to make it seem like it was a gov operation. They did disclose it in the article but still.

Wow. How cynical is that statement. The article tried to make it sound like a government program but pointed out it is not a government program.

No it isn't government program now.

But the Lib-A-Tards in charge will make it one. Because how can we break up the family unit (Husband, Wife, child, and pet) so we need to provide because it isn't enough that my tax dollars are spent on the undeserving now they will be spent on the undeserving's family dog.

If the 50 million plus abortions performed since Roe V Wade had been puppies and kittens, the outrage would be through the roof.
Lots of people care more about the welfare of pets than humans.

So true...I read comments all the time on local news reports--people are insanely outraged with any article regarding mistreated animals; aborted humans, not so much. And, if you point it out--whoa, you'll be labled worse than the offender. For the record, I abhor the mistreatment of animals; but I put mistreated humans (aborted babies, especially) on a much higher level than any in the animal kingdom.

Yeah, but can a federal program be far behind?

So who’s ready for more government handouts? The way this program is going, it wouldn’t be a surprise to us if there was a new version of Food Stamps on the way. The number of people in America on Food Stamps is now at an all-time high, but it’s not enough for this new nonprofit that is trying to make sure the entire family is in on the program. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) may be a federal program administered by the states, but many in New York feel as though it is not enough.

The new Pet Food...
