Lance, I digress to speak about the Kimber1911.....I was terribly disappointed to discover this past week, the Gold Match model I have in my vault is worth about three hundred less than what I paid for it almost twenty years ago? I was told that Kimber lowered their prices to compete with Springfield Armory or Thompson (don't remember which)......Hell, if I would have wanted a cheaper 1911, I would have bought one for much less money twenty years ago.

I am really disappointed at Kimber for doing this.....But, I am certainly not disappointed with that "Gold Match's"ability to make a five shot group look like a keyhole. :-)

Sage, I can't BUY a Kimber in MA. my carry is a S&W 1911 that, I believe is every bit as accurate as a Kimber (maybe more so). I've just always wanted a Kimber. I believe they are over rated. I understand your disappointment with those folks. It seems they're doin' a bit of "laurel sittin'" these days.
