Hmmm, I read about 10 of the following comments and found them Most interesting. !! Disparaging and denigrating (Can't wait for the remarks about the use of that word: denigrating) statements about One of our greatest presidents from liberals and their ilk indicate the article commented on has hit very close to home (a Very tender, painful spot)!! You other folks with a similar outlook can best be brief and concise by just writing "Ouch"!! and leave it at that. Or as Rush Limbaugh might say "I'm a dittohead to that last idiot!" if you want to impress us with your typing skills. I'll try to keep this short John, but I agree with Panda's first paragraph below. But both of you oversimplify the problem. Every part of the federal government has waste, fraud and abuse and need their budgets trimmed. Only in Congress can a budget decrease of 1% on the next fiscal years expected inflation based increase be called a departments budget cut! I remind you that there has been No Budget passed in over 3 years! Also, at the end of the cold war the Democrat party took our so called Peace Dividend by cutting our active duty military by about 50% and taking the smaller manpower savings from DOD and spent it on every other dept. & agency, (not deficit reduction)! Then it turned into a far more dangerous world.
