Infuriating isn't it. Biggest seat change in the Congress since 1948. Americans want conservative leadership and a President who can balance a damn budget and yet.....our GOP has decide Mitt Romney WILL be our choice. Man......did I drift that far from my Republican roots or did they? It's Newt or nothing, for me. I'm dead serious, it ends here. Dole, McCain, Romney....they should lead because why?

Yeah, saw that. He's the genuine article. Not the perfect man....just the perfect man for the job. Let's turn this thing around and get back to the business of raising famalies, securing peace for our posterity and having pride in who we are. Go Gingrich, go Tea Party, go America!

I'm telling you how right you are.....I'm not going back. Like Matt said I'd pop in to Drudge at least twice a day but no more.

What does Newt have to do? I started reading Power Line, PJ media and Drudge after Dan Rather and CBS did that hit piece on Bush's Air National Guard service. I haven't turned to CBS for news since, and I thought I had found sources that would never sink to that 'drive by' mentality. Wrong! I understand wanting your guy to win, thinking only they can do 'it' and you can help them by tearing down someone else.........I just never thought the group I mentioned above would stoop that low. I won't go back there, I've taken them out of my bookmarks and to be honest....I'm not sure if I will remain a Republican....they care more about what independents think so that's where I'm going.
I know, it's absurd....Romney is portrayed as a competent manager, which I can't argue about, but that's it. That's what the GOP elite want to put up against Obama....a good hair guy who doesn't offend anyone. Gingrich is clearly the only conservative choice and he is being sold out by Krauthammer, Will, Rove et al. because it's 'Romney's turn?'
John Hawkins I am now a fan! In a style reminiscent of Jonathan Goldberg you have married wit and wisdom in your punditry while simultaneously 'cutting to the chase' on the issue we Conservatives have been hand wringingly obsessing on: electability over shared values. The articulate and passionate expression of Conservative values will always bring a 'standing O' because the majority of us self identify as such. Clearly, if faced with a choice between Obamney and Gingrich, Newt is hands down the only real choice. The Rick's aren't relevant Nationally and Paul is a Libertarian pretending to be a Republican because the food is better at our conventions!
Good take John. I've been struggling with the crew over on Powerline about this 'electability' issue without much success. My point has been it's time for a real change, back to basics economically and socialy and that's not who Romney is. Mitt might be the best damn 'meeting leader' that's ever lived but we need and idea man, someone with a contrasting vision to the leftist horde that's overun Washington and the country. Go Newt, Go Tea Party, Go America.
