I worked for G.E. Burlington for 17 years, making parts for Gatling guns: Minigun, 20mm Vulcan and 30mm GAU-8 that is used in the A-10 Warthog. I've also worked in a small machine shop that contracted to sporterize thousands of WWII rifles and worked with semi-automatic weapons such as M1A and SKS semi-automatic rifles. As a machinist, former hunter and former Marine who has fired the M-1, M-14 and M-16, I can honestly say there is NO discernable difference between the killing power of any standard semi-automatic hunting rifle and any semi-automatic rifle that "resembles" a fully-automatic assault rifle and fires the same caliber round.

Once the Gatling gun was affixed to choppers in the Vietnam War, it turned the tide there.
That scene in, 'We Were Soldiers', of those choppers coming up over that hill to assist those soldiers caught in a very bad place was one of my favorite scenes in any movie...

Senator Ted Cruz wonders: If gun control works, why are the cities with the most gun control so violent? Watch and learn.
