Actually I'm a gun owner, and I don't live in a bunker. I live in a raised ranch. I strongly believe in the second amendment, and it WAS created to allow private citizens to protect themselves from the government first and foremost. It also allows us to protect ourselves from those in society who would do us harm. There is ample proof that the government absolutely wants to disarm private law-abiding citizens. If you choose to ignore the facts that is your privilege. As for me, I will continue to exercise my second amendment rights under our federal constitution. Semper Fi

Former President Bill Clinton, who suffered significant political damage after signing into law the original assault weapons ban, is cautioning President Obama against patronizing his gun control opponents, in particular gun owners.

Appearing before Obama's National Finance Committee and various business leaders, Clinton stressed that guns present different cultural complexities than other political issues.

"Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them," he said, according to Politico.
