Amend the constitution: A state may withdraw from the United States of America by election of its' citizens of 50% vote or greater. A state can be expelled from the United States of America by a vote in the House then Senate of 60% or greater of the other states. A majority of the delegates of each state must reach a consensus and that is the vote cast. A delegate tie is to be decided by the Governor of the state.

You are what is known as a sore loser. I didnt get my way so I am just gonna leave!
Fuzzy2 Wrote: Nov 15, 2012 2:21 PM
I haven't gotten my way since 1984. And there was a solid democrat congress that ruined it even then. I'm not going to live long enough to even get a whiff of things going my way.

I've lived in a country whose govt is a perversion of what was intended my whole life. I'm 45. Why exactly shouldn't anybody who believes in Liberty be po'd enough to really(!) fight for it?

And when I say "fight", I'm not talking about preserving lower tax rates or trying to get a little scrap of meat out of an "improved" Obamacare.

Sore loser? Please. I've wanted to bust this friggin' DC cabal practically since the day I was born. Into 50 pieces.

Uh, you know we fought a big war like 140 years ago over this issue? Secession is for whiners and quiters. Man up and go fight for what you believe in.

Ted, I think you know the game is rigged at this point, don't you?

We can't even get a decent republican nominated for president, and we look the other way every day when DC does some new unconstitutional (read illegal) act.

Once the rules no longer apply, what choices are there?

100% correct.

These wild fantasies of splintering our already divided country is short-sighted (if "sighted" at all) and immature. None of these goofy secessionists have fleshed out their plans enough to even respond to!

Good grief. We have REAL problems. We need grown-ups with real solutions.

Although last week's election seemed like the end of common sense when it comes to fiscal policy, there is a silver lining. More certified public accountants are headed to Congress and the ones who were already there, are staying.

All eight CPAs currently in the House won re-election, according to the Journal of Accountancy, including John Campbell, R-Calif., Mike Conaway, R-Texas, Bill Flores, R-Texas, Lynn Jenkins, R-Kan., Steven Palazzo, R-Miss., Collin Peterson, D-Minn., James Renacci, R-Ohio, and Brad Sherman, D-Calif. Several of them won re-election after fierce contests in recently redrawn congressional districts.
