Always enjoy you commentary. I do believe that our Commander In Chief and the Congress are grossly inept. Also that most of the information handed down to the public if fatally flawed to make one side or the other look good. But with all these so called intelligent, I know better that you, smart people in D.C., why can't they think of a simple solution to force the International Community to get involve in Syria by implementing a simple two prong approach? 1) DEFUNDING THE U.N. BY WITHDRAWAL OF U.S. DOLLARS AS SUPPORT. 2) STOP ALL FOREIEGN AID, ESPECIALLY TO CONTRIES THAT VOTE AGAINST UP. I think then you would get their attention. Actually I would like to see both of these done permanently. But hey, what do I know?
Good article. This only the beginning. Being in the building industry, we are seeing more regulations, mostly through the International Energy Conservation Code. These requirement create large increases in costs for even the smallest home, making it less affordable for people buying the low to medium price homes. Also many of these requirements again will be subsidized by the taxpayers to make it more palatable. The house permitting process also becomes a cost nightmare. You are forced to apply extra green technology into the home, by offering rebates, but if you don't you will pay a very high tax on non green items. I'm for green up to a certain point, but you also have to look at payback versus costs.
