You must read Mark Steyn's book "After America" to learn what happened to Detroit.
Sorry to be so picky, but as an English teacher I must correct your first sentence: "You might not of heard of SOPA." It should read "You might not HAVE heard...." Proper grammar gives credibility to your message.

As human beings who were given the gift of life, we should all care when life begins. No other rights matter if we do not have the opportunity to take that first breath.
This is such a cruel statement. Children in the womb have no political inclinations. They are children of God.
The answer is to help both the mother and the baby. As a post-abortive mother, I am fully aware of the lies that are told to young mothers by those in the abortion business. Crisis pregnancy centers provide free pregnancy tests, support and resources....unlike Planned Parenthood. Just read Abby Johnson's book "Unplanned." She is a former PP director. She knows exactly what goes on in those facilities. Millions of women (and men) have suffered for years....psychologically, physically, emotionally and spiritually from the aftermath of abortion. No one acknowledges this. So much for the "women's movement" and their concern for women's advocacy....They completely forget about you once you have the abortion(s).

Almost all the people I know give their last dollar and their time tirelessly to those in need. They are following Christ's call, and they do not draw attention to themselves, even though some of them are struggling themselves. I have observed their actions, not their talk, and that has been the impetus for my call to service. So I suppose I "measure" it by what I see. Charity and humility in action.... If the government would lift the restrictions on Christian charities, it would be a great benefit to society at large. We ask for nothing except to be able to serve one another without being penalized or taxed to death.

And the ill-informed zombies continue to laugh and be entertained to death. Sadly, they do not know their history, so they don't understand that this happened in previous civilizations. May God have mercy on us. (Awaiting the zombie response....bring it.)

God created us with free will. Free speech also implies responsibility. When you say that there is only one one way to approach God, that is true....it is in accepting that we are sinners and that we must try to behave better.

Just beautiful, Kathryn.... As a post-abortive woman, I can attest to the fact that love and service are the antidote to the hatefulness espoused by pro-abortion people. I now work in every way I can to expose the lies which women are being told about what abortion really is. Yes, we can work to change the unjust law, but it is much more effective and loving (and much more challenging!) to change hardened, deceived hearts.

Abortion Leads to Not-So-Sweet Emotions

St. Paul, who called himself "the foremost of sinners," was forgiven for his murderous ways by Christ. He went on to convert his life and bring God's word to others. He is one of the greatest writers and examples in the Bible. He took responsibility for his sins, repented and went on to atone for his sins.
