George Washington set the proper example for ALL politicians, not just the president, when he stepped down after two terms. The Founders envisioned citizen legislators who would serve a couple of terms, then return to private life. That type of politician can be characterized as a statesman, and a public servant. The kind we have now are insulated, lazy, overpaid, under-worked, pampered royalty. The idea that our politicians have to be "qualified" or "experienced" is nonsense. They just have to love America and be dedicated to doing what is right for the country, re-election be damned. Once they've been there for so many years, they care mostly about retaining power, and not about what's right. Washington knew that instinctively.

When roughly 90% of major media outlets convey the message that Obama's policies are normal and not radical, but the Tea party and their ideals are radical then we have a major uphill battle. Over the last 50 years government has continued to grow even though we were a supposed right-leaning country with conservative principles. Limited government means nothing, except that they are limited only by their imagination as to rules and regulations.

Peas are all the rage when it comes to talking about the country’s fiscal woes.

You might remember that in July of 2011, when fighting over the debt ceiling, president Obama- right before he left for his 17^th vacation at Martha’s Vineyard that year- complained about congressional inaction by saying that’s it time for the country “to eat its peas.”
