Exactly. Unfortunately you have voters who feel that people in politics should be "qualified" and "experienced" and other such nonsense, when it's the "experience" and the "qualifications" that lead to corruption. The Founders knew all that - they'd observed what entrenched lifetime politicians could do first hand in England and wanted no part of it. So what it will require is for idiot "moderates" to stop claiming that people like Palin aren't qualified, when she is EXACTLY the type of person the Founders envisioned as citizen legislators. Anyone with integrity and a message is qualified to run for and hold office if the truth be known, and most of the common folk are a hell of a lot smarter than the elites.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa indicates that former mortgage company Countrywide Financial Corp. offered discounts on home loans to hundreds of Washington officials, including several Congressmen and a myriad of government workers. Countrywide's "VIP Unit" was happy to provide these perks to those who were in a position to return the favor.
