Most Catholic institutions self insure. If they are required to offer birth control they will have to pay for it. Thus rubbing their noses in it. That is why Obama wants them to do it. It shows his superiority over the rights of religions while painting them as hopelessly old fashioned or outright relics that hate women. We don't buy it. Leave that old time religion alone and public sentiment will sort it out.

A Case For Governor Scott Walker

Scott should be given an accolade from the voters, not a recall election. I think the people have had time to see the results of his policies and to realize they are the winners and only the union has suffered. Union members have paid a little of their benefits as opposed to none at all and none of them were forced to pay dues to a union they did not endorse.
I am really, really glad that I am retired and never have to leave my house for anything other than grocery shopping. The sights at the WalMart are worth the ride up there. Then I come home to the horses and the dogs and cats and chickens and life in the slow lane. I would lose my mind at what pases for higher education these days. The morons seem to be in charge. I will pray for those of you still fighting the good fight to earn a living and trying to deal with this bizarre new world.
And many of us would appreciate them. Salute to your Dad.
I knew a man, last name Colle, who was at the Battle of the Bulge. He swears that Nuts was a sanitized version of B@lls as that kind of language could not be mentioned or printed in those days. Lots of changes now. These day the only place you can't use that word is Yahoo comments, lol.

Every place I worked since 1995 has charged smokers more and given cash benefits to those of us deemed fit by virtue of weight to height measurements. Nothing new here. The difference is that back then most of us had health insurance at our jobs. Now jobs are running scared of Obamacare and finding it cheaper to pay penalties than to pay for insurance on employees. That has become a real game changer for people trying to buy insurance in the private market. The people who need insurance the most are those who can afford it the least. And would be penalized for the very things that cause them to really need insurance in the first place.
For the young among us who need all their pennies to pay school loans, don't forget libraries carry all books. You may have to request it and go on a waiting list but it is still available for free. Read it. You have the most to lose.
