I am PROUD to be one of those with "...the fighting spirit [] who will never abandon the fight to preserve liberty." I am PROUD that this country was "ready" to elect a Black citizen to the Presidency, but HORRIFIED that this particular Black citizen was its choice. How far we've come in so short a time! The image in my mind is a cartoon with two frames: the FIRST FRAME is a 60s hippie character (with "Love the One You're With" emblazoned on his ratty shirt) enveloped in a marijuana-smoke peace sign THROWING A BABY OUT THE WINDOW with bathwater; the SECOND FRAME is Obama and his minions, all clothed as the Grim Reeper, stabbing the baby to death.

That is my country's current situation... at its greatest peril since the Civil...
