When things went bad economically here, and jobs ceased to exist, the first ones to head for the hills were the illegals. That left the rest of the hoard, real citizens, to fend for themselves, with no jobs, mortgages to pay, kids to put in school, etc. They couldn't just pick-up and take off for parts unknown. They have responsibilities to meet: their now part-time jobs, if they have any at all; their homes, if they haven't already lost them; their communities, where they volunteer to help others; those choices show true citizenship and real responsibility-- not fleeing the scene when things go bad!!! That's the difference!
