A`man forcing his private member into another man's anus is not 'marriage'...it's PERVERSION... even a fool recognizes that! The only people who DON'T 'recognize' such an obvious fact of nature are PERVERTS...

Marriage in its current form does not require sexual activity. There's a difference between homosexuality and homosexual acts. There are heterosexual couples that engage in the same homosexual acts. If you are repulsed by the acts, then that's one thing. But it is illogical to merely condemn something because it makes you uncomfortable or disgusted.

Reality in the present or the past seems to escape most people - aided by the media and various psychological factors. If life were so simple, the simple-minded would be happy.

Andy, Andy, Andy: We are all perverting God's ideal, just some more than others. That is the lesson and the answer is love. Love makes things better but not perfect. The direct, confrontational, tough love approach is not usually what is recommended by Jesus...You can tell by the results. I have been corrupted by man and Nature - more than some, less than others HOWEVER, God still loves me and expects no less from me towards others and if I do things His way, it is truly amazing how things work out!

"The direct, confrontational, tough love approach is not usually what is recommended by Jesus...You can tell by the results". Not 'usually' the approach; but sometimes the approach. The 'cord of whips' and the table turning against the money changers was 'tough love' by Jesus. Calling the Pharisees 'snakes', 'vipers', and 'white-washed tombs' was more tough love by Jesus. Some folks were so hardened by their sin and rebellion that the 'tough love' approach is the only one that made an impression.

As usual, you are mostly correct. I had to put my foot down as regarded sex abuse and was told that Jesus would never put his foot down. But Jesus was absolutely reacting to MOTIVE not to just actions and is a much better judge than us and can get angry without sinning (which we usually don't accomplish).

Andy, going into graphic detail about what you think gay men do sexually is a cheap way of making gay people offensive to others. Nobody gay does that in these discussions. Just men like you. Gay people taking responsibility for each other and their children in love and commitment IS marriage. It figures YOU don't know what it is, and apparently gay people can appreciate it with more respect than they get credit. The law can't make hetero people stay married and to their parental duty, even when they should.
So why keep gay people from doing it who want to? Apparently you can't think of a good reason to either.

Republican leaders have capitulated, pro-family pundits have caved, and gay activists have announced that their struggle for equality is just about over. Is it time for biblical conservatives to throw in the towel?

What a ridiculous thought. Why in the world would we do that?

I’m fully aware that:

· Newt Gingrich recently announced his belief that same-sex unions are “inevitable” and that Republicans must accept this if they want to win future elections.

· Pro-marriage leader David Blankenhorn has recanted his opposition to same-sex “marriage,” saying “the time has come for me to accept gay marriage and...
