Truth is, There's No One Behind the Wheel

"Me? I like knowing no one is running things because, for starters, it means I'm free." Sure, tell that to the IRS on April 15th. Or tell it to your mortgage holder when your next house or car payment comes due. Or tell the State Trooper who stops you for going 85 in a 65 zone. There are a myriad of ways people are not free. That is a fact of life for everyone, everywhere. Are their situations and places where people can be LESS free? Absolutely. Tyrannical political systems will make people less free (Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, communism wherever it takes root). Poor personal choices and misbehavior cause people to be less free (criminal behavior, substance abuse, immorality). The MORE we take personal responsibility for our actions and choices, the MORE free we become. Wrong choices (the Bible calls it sin) that are not "owned up to" and forsaken (repented of) will enslave and destroy us. A Jewish rabbi 2,000 years ago said, "If you continue in My word you are truly My disciples; and you shall know the TRUTH, and the truth shall make you FREE."

It appears General Washington and Henry the philanderer are paid trolls by the RNC Whatever they are paying you guys, it's TOO MUCH..... The General can't respond to a simple declarative English sentence (because he doesn't want to), and Hank the philanderer claims the opinion of the Mainstream media trumps all in matters of consideration concerning confronting Obama over Obama, with a possible government shutdown (typical RINO logic, "it's always OUR fault") The General and Hank the philanderer are two excellent examples why conservatives need to ditch the GOP and go 3rd party conservative Same old lame excuses evasions, again, and again and again....

Take a deep breath, General, and listen very closely.... Congress submits a CR budget to Obama that defunds Obamacare. OBAMA has a choice to make. He can SIGN the CR budget (that defunds Obamacare), or he can choose NOT to sign it. It will be HIS CHOICE. If he chooses NOT to sign the CR Budget, that will cause a "shut down" of government operations, which will be OBAMA'S responsibility, stemming from the CHOICE Obama made (not to sign the bill). Are you so OBTUSE that you cannot understand simple, declarative English sentences? Maybe the 'ague' has crept into your head from all those nights you've spent with the troops out there in Valley Forge!

your reading skills seem to be lacking, General Washington. I never said anything about "forcing" Obama to sign a CR that defunded Obamacare. I simply said Congress needs to submit to Obama a CR that specifically DE-FUNDS Obamacare. At that point, Obama will have a choice to make. He can either sign the CR that includes the de-funded Obamacare section, or he can shut down the Federal government. It will be Obama's CHOICE, and Obama's RESPONSIBILITY. How about dealing with what I actually SAID, General Washington?

The "elephant in the room" as you put it, Hank is a compromised, appeasing GOP establishment leadership in Congress that lacks the intestinal fortitude to go after Obamacare the way it is constitutionally-empowered to do: by defunding it!

So, Henry VIII, what you are really saying here is that the GOP serves the Lying Mainstream Media, and values its opinions higher than the expressed will of the American people... which is to tow Obamacare 3 miles out to sea, and sink it with Naval gunfire!
