Married to Darwin

The Bible says that Man was created in God's own image in a moment of time (on the 6th Day of Creation) by the Almighty God who created the entire Universe over those six days. The Bible says death came into the world, and came upon the human race, because of Adam's sin; the Bible says that death is the result of Adam's sin and mankind's alienation from God. The Bible says Jesus Christ came into the world to pay for man's sin debt (stemming from Adam's original sin) and reconcile man to God by His blood. Darwin, with his hopeless, hokey-pokey, un-proven anti-God theory believed none of the above. Darwin offered no explanation of WHERE man came from (sorry, evolving from a protoplasmic pool of slime doesn't qualify as an 'explanation'), WHY man came into being, and WHERE man is going- either with God or apart from God. Also, Darwin offered no explanation for the explanation of the ultimate Source of Life itself; in fact, Darwin was extremely dishonest using the title 'Origin of the Species' when, in fact, Darwin had NO explanation for the ultimate origin of humankind. (also, advances in molecular biology have demonstrated that Darwin was hopelessly simplistic and had no 'clue' in his understanding of the human cell and its inability to 'evolve'; also, there is zero credible fossil record evidence to substantiate Darwin's theory of one species 'evolving' into another). What Darwinism ACTUALLY is, is a rejection of the concept of a CREATOR, with the rejection of the concept of man's PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILTY to his creator, and the rejection of His revelation to mankind, the Holy Bible, and the rejection of the Savior who came into the world to save man from his sin, Jesus Christ. "For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.…" Romans 1:21-23

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned." Romans 5:12 Adam's disobedience to God's command in the Garden of Eden introduced sin into the world, and death entered the world thru Adam's sin. That is the core tenet of Biblical belief, and that is the reason Christ came into the world- to pay man's sin debt with His own blood, and rescue mankind from the penalty of his sin, which is death. Either the Bible is correct or Darwin is correct. They CANNOT both be correct. Christians who embrace Darwinism (1. really don't understand the Faith they claim to believe in, and (2. have taken a giant step on the slippery slope to embracing the humanistic LIE- and will eventually become part of the group who worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator. Either accept God's word literally, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, or walk away from it and prepare to receive the Mark and prepare to worship a false god. God doesn't take kindly to 'editing', adding to, subtracting from, or mythologizing large portions of His Scripture.
More Open Borders bilge. It's called RULE OF LAW, Mr. Tanner. Something you and your 'progressive' cohorts don't seem to get. We don't want the Immigration system 'reformed', we want the LAW ENFORCED. A nation that cannot govern its own border, or legally decide who enters and who doesn't soon CEASES to be a nation.
Clint Eastwood's description said it best- 'the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people'. The joke, btw, is on the 'Beavis and Butthead' generation that allowed it to happen; and allowed a political system- both parties- to flourish that is selling this country down the River for 30 pieces of silver.

I thought Townhall was a conservative website. Why is this individual posting his Open Borders drivel here? These people have no respect for law, and they have no respect for the Constitution of the United States or its borders. If the situation now un-folding on this country's borders was somehow 'transplanted' 6,000 miles to the east, and involved the nation of ISRAEL, where Israel was being flooded by hundreds of thousands of Palestinians crowding across its borders, seeking amnesty and shelter, you can bet your 'bippy' Mr.Jacoby would be whistling a different tune than he does in this column! But, of course, that won't happen. Israel defends its borders.
Sounds like a great way for someone to make a bunch of money selling a bunch of books, followed by made for T.V. movie and a lecture tour. For 2,000 years the temple of God is, and has been,, Jesus Christ and His body, which is His church ('destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up'). Every other religious system, including Judaism, is ANTI-CHRIST (who, according to 2nd Thessalonians 2 will 'sit in the Temple of God proclaiming that he is God.'). Whether the Jewish Temple is re-built or not is irrelevant to the events that are coming upon the earth, including one-world government, the False Prophet and the Beast and their 'mark', the Tribulation, Armageddon, and the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ. WW-III is 'small potatoes' to what is coming down the pike.

wrong- the subject changed in mid-article from being a discussion about WW-1 and shifted on page two to a screed about Serbia's supposed mis-treatment and black-listing by the media today (totally omitting to mention Milosevic and company's actions). Try reading the article again.

"When Yugoslavia broke up, the news media put black hats on the Serbs for years, and now Hollywood regularly chooses them as villains." What a deceptive column! it went from a scholarly discussion of the start of WW-1, and how the Serbs were involved in that conflict, and, half-way thru, suddenly morphed into a screed about how unfairly the Serbs are portrayed in the world media today (failing to mention this negative portrayal stems from the actions of Slobodan Milosevic and his genocidal thugs in Bosnia, 1990-1995). What the columnist failed to do was connect the 'dots' or show any logical or justifiable connection between the supposed mistreatment of the Serbs in the WW-1 era and the rape and genocidal murder of tens of thousands of Bosnian Muslims by Milosevic and his attack dogs.
Another truthful article by Larry Elder who is one of the few at Townhall who keeps things real. IMHO, I disagreed with the Iraq debacle from the beginning, but Mr.Elder lays out the case for the Bush administration's decision to invade in 2003, and the issues surrounding it, fairly and accurately. 'Pre-emptive wars' (going to war against a nation based upon what that nation 'might do' in the future rather than what a nation has actually DONE.. such as 'attacking' us, for instance ) are essentially vague and questionable, immoral, stink, and turn out very bad. This war was no exception. The decision to 'take out' Saddam Hussein (who was indeed a very bad man and a ruthless dictator) was undoubtedly at the top of Mr.Bush's agenda when he took office in 2001. The WMD allegation was simply Bush's justification to go into Iraq and take Saddam out (even though Iraq, lacking nuclear weapons or delivery systems, posed zero threat at the time to the United States and was a regional threat, at best). To argue counter to that statement is disingenuous, at best; a bald-faced lie, at worst, and insults people's intelligence who witnessed the whole thing come down (including Colin Powell's impassioned speech to the U.N. with 'doctored up' satellite photos of blurry objects on the ground which were claimed to be ICBM's- or whatever). In 3 short weeks, the under-manned U.S. force was in Baghdad, and it was 'Mission Accomplished' for Bush. Problem was, the 'mission' had NOT been accomplished. The United States had landed in the middle of a 1,400 year sectarian 'blood feud' and inherited the IMPOSSIBLE task of 'nation building' in a 'nation' (artificially drawn on the map by Winston Churchill after WW-1 when the British inherited the Ottoman-Turk Empire stretching from Egypt to the Euphrates) comprised of sectarian groups who hate each other's guts. The ONLY thing that will bring 'peace' to Iraq is permanent occupation by U.S.troops and permanent U.S. subsidies to the warring factions. The Bush Administration's RESPONSIBILTY for this mess is that ALL THIS could have been reasonably FORESEEN (and, in fact, WAS noted before Iraq was invaded) and yet Bush blundered in to Iraq anyway, with a force woefully inadequate to secure the country and no workable plan to deal constructively with the mess this country inherited (other than pour a trillion dollars and hundreds of thousands of men into the maw).
Three corrupt and oppressive Empires, whose 'pull date' had long since expired (the Russian, the Ottoman-Turk, and the Austrian-Hungarian) imploded and collapsed under their own dead weight as a result of WW-1 (three other colonial global empires, the British, the French, and the German, were bled 'white' by the war and suffered greatly). None of the collapsed empires would have went peacefully without a 'fight'. World War One was the 'fight'. Their own actions precipitated the conflict that led to their own downfall. God takes the wicked in their own devices (and will do so right up to Armageddon). Those who want peace will find it only by making peace with the Prince of Peace (who will bring peace in His time and His way).
