The Left-wing wants a dis-armed citizenry. Every totalitarian society in history always disarmed its citizens before beginning its crackdown on personal freedoms and their purge of 'dissidents'. This shallow little millionaire prima donna sportscaster, living in his New York Media 'bubble world' is an unwitting mouthpiece for evil and oppression.

Nobody on the Left is talking about a disarmed citizenry. Just reasonable laws to protect against firearms ending up in the wrong hands (e.g., crazy people) and the wrong places. There is also a reasonable discussion to be had about what constitutes a "gun" in terms of Second Amendment coverage. Obviously the Founders could not imagine certain kinds of high-powered modern weaponry that may well be appropriate for military use but would be absurd choices for hunting or home protection.

When you're in a hole, stop digging. Last night NBC sportscaster Bob Costas made an appearance on the O'Reilly Fact in an effort to clear up any "misunderstanding" about what he said during his anti-gun monologue on Sunday night football in reaction to NFL player Jovan Belcher killing the mother of his child. Yesterday, Costas issued a non-apology for his comments that was full of excuses and one that blamed viewers for misinterpreting what he really meant and said.

"I don't back up on anything I said."
