The Washington Post Bullies Romney

I smoked dope when I was young and did some other stuff. What it shows is a willingness to break rules. I could have gone to jail, but getting high was more important. That is exactly how O is running the country. If he can't get congress to go his way, he simply breaks the rules because what he wants to do is more important. That will eventually be fatal for our constitutional republic.
One key difference in the argument is between tax RATES and tax LOOPHOLES. The Reps have proposed closing loopholes, things that allowed GE to pay no taxes, necessarily raising taxes on the rich, streamlining the tax code to a more honest and robust way to grow the economy. The Dems have insisted on increasing rates which are a proven wet blanket on the economy. The problem for the Dems is that their financers are artists at navigating loopholes: Buffet fighting to keep from paying a $150 million tax liability. I wonder how much tax Soros pays.

Dennis Prager, Jewish scholar, posted that he had more anxiety the first time he voted Republican than the first time in his rebelious youth he ate ham. Liberalism is a deep mind rut.
MonT: What you don't understand is that to a conservative, morals are necessary for a society to survive (no society has ever overcome immorality) and to a liberal, morals that they don't like are an imposition. Since the real and final arbitor of morals is God, anyone delivering that truth is part of the imposition.
What blows my mind is that wrapped in clever rhetoric is the torpedo that will kill this country. No society, regardless of relifious affiliation has ever been able to overcome immorality. Immorality has not changed based on natural law. We think we are better than all of history. We are a nation with a moral code founded on Judeo-Christian morals. This code does not forbid unbelief, it just means that our laws should conform to the code. When we choose to turn from the code, watch out.
The difference between gov't "investment" and private investment is that the gov't doesn't care about tomorrow, it just wants the money out there, like the I-93 repave job. Private investment is careful because it has to show a return on investment for the life of the project. That's what creates more permanent jobs.
The effect of paying off all of his cronies is that he now owns the ballot box. The one thing he forgot though is that the Jewish folks in NY are now royally ticked with his dissing of Israel. He can't buy love from them now.
I agree with Paul: the foundation is "human = bad". The implementation of this rule is to make the world less habitable. The real zealots feel like the world could use BILLIONS fewer people. My sister (an environmentalist) said "the world could use a good famine." While we wait for the famine, they will settle with starvation by making oil off limits so crops can't be harvested.

To add to Elizabeth - evolution is a mythological spiritual precept in the religion of atheism. When they can honestly explain complexity, I will listen. In the mean time, they say that the religious are the non-thinkers for believing a myth. That is a way to "win" an argument without really engaging in the argument. The sad thing is that we allow them to steal our creation story in the name of science and intellect.
