Back in the 1970's (when I was in college), I remember the big "scare" that was being promoted by 'Climatologists" (whatever that is)was their claim that earth was heading into a "New Ice Age", due to all the pollutants that the 'bad' industrial nations were pumping into the air. Sometime in the early '90's, the so-called environmental "experts" 'flip-flopped' and began asserting the planet was actually WARMING due to excessive fluorocarbons and aerosols being released into the atmosphere. This, they claimed, was causing the 'Ozone' layer around the earth to 'shrink', which was allowing deadly radioactivity into our atmosphere.
