HBO Hates Popes, Loves Kennedys

Eddie, you are exactly the reason the church is being trashed. Ignore the fact of pedophilia and protect the church at all costs. I am not trashing priests as a class, I am trashing the church hierarchy that covered up those events. People like you will bring shame to every priest and church.

More ignorant hypocrisy fromYeahyoufew.

I clearly addressed HBO; not mothers. Why wank about the papacy while indecent American women are hiring executioners to quash the baby? A film about that mess would be worth recommending. Whereas, who would be paying to see the Pope bashed? Only a pack of wolves in sheeps clothing.

That's not an apt analogy, not by a long shot. "Motherhood" is not an organization, there is no hierarchy, and no mothers have conspired to cover up and relocate other mothers so that they may continue criminal behavior.

Again, rather than address the pedophilia, you've deflected, somehow winding up at a completely unrelated issue.

In Kagemusha, the prisoner laughs at his betters, saying: "Haha! You will condemn me for stealing coins? You steal whole domains! Who condemns you?"

I'd like to see HBO film a revealing show about abortion on demand. America's unholy commonplace scandal with its priesthood and celebrants in the shameless Democrat Party.

A truckload of bishops and clergy took advantage of altar boys. Who takes advantage of the most defenseless victims on earth? Their own mothers and putative physicians.

Are we to blame American motherhood en masse for what a small number does to their own babies? And does HBO give a straw?

i disagree that betraying the Son of God is a less serious offense than failing to act morally when placed in a position of leadership.

eddie,

You've got things backwards. We're not talking about followers betraying leaders. We're talking about leaders betraying followers. That is a much more serious offense.

you are trashing the church.

yet, i am the problem?

i must have missed it in your earlier posts, what percent of u.s. bishops engaged in a cover up?

compare that percentage to the percentage of men that Jesus chose to lead His Church who acted to betray Him to the Jewish Sanhedrin.

in the case of Jesus and His chosen bishops, it was one in twelve or 8.5%.

if there are 240 bishops in the usa, 8.5% of them would 20.
Pope Benedict XVI shocked the world on Monday morning by announcing he would resign at the end of February. For Catholics, there was sorrow and there was gratitude for a Holy Father who taught with such distinction and worked with such care to safeguard the church's theological traditions.

But there are those people who hate the Catholic Church, and they are ecstatic. Take documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney, a man who clearly thinks he is holier than the Pope. He told the Daily Beast that Benedict is a "criminal." This helps explain why he's made a documentary for HBO, the home...
