Sorry, goshdurn, but Castro and Guevara made a lot of two-time refugees: first, people fleeing Hitler, next fleeing the Communists. Did you know that the Jewish community in Puerto Rico doubled after the Cuban Revolution? And most of these were people initially sympathetic to "La Revolucion".

I, for one, never heard of Diana Nyad prior to her attempted swim.

Apparently the most tragic event in the Florida straits over the past fifty years involves recreational swimmer Diana Nyad getting stung by a jellyfish.

From CNN to ABC, from NBC to CBS, from Reuters to the AP, from the Washington Post to the New York Times, it was “all Diana Nyad all the time” the past week.
