Did I miss it in Phyllis's article? Are private schools banned from Christian celebration or is it just public schools supported by everyone's taxe's? If that is the case (public schools only), why are "strict constructionist" conservatives even talking this pseudo war on Christmas. It is the law. Or are conservatives as stupid as the Delaware Witch?

it reveals the depth of your ignorance when you advocate the government be allowed to favor its system of beliefs over all other system of beliefs and you think that is constitutional.

hollow and ignorant statements add no value to anything.

why should the beliefs taught in the government run (public schools) be exempt from the constitutional prohibition of the government establishing a religion.

a religion is nothing more than a system of beliefs. the government run schools definitely teach a system of beliefs.

yet, many ignorant americans think that it is constitutional for the government to advance its system of beliefs by discriminating against all other belief systems.

if you are not willing to submit the education of your children to the government's belief system, you are denied the assistance in taxpayers' monies provided to all of the parents and guardians who submit to having their children educated in the government's belief system.

"a religion is nothing more than a system of beliefs" What about all the religious-based institutions, such as Catholic hospitals and universities, the Salvation Army, chaplaincy programs, etc. What about all the great religious art? Many religions are far more than a system of beliefs.

Robert-All of those things are the result of people believing in that system of beliefs.
Bill O'Reilly asked this question on his Fox News program last week: "Why do I have to be the leader defending Christmas against its attackers?" O'Reilly was criticizing Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee's renaming his state's Christmas tree a "holiday tree."

Good question. It's time for Christians to realize that their religion is under attack, and they had better start fighting to win the war for religious liberty in public opinion, in the courts and in the schools.

The war against Christianity has been waged by the American Civil Liberties Union, the Freedom From Religion Foundation and similar groups....
