Cold Shoulder to Climate 'Urgency'

Man, isn't that the truth. The Chinese aren't nuts (like we seem to be. More and more.). They want economic growth, a rational impulse if ever there was one, and it comes at a price, as it always has. If things continue on as they always have, and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't, it seems to me that science and technology, rationally applied, will come to the rescue.

I wish we in the US were moral and rational anymore. But we're not. We're collectively nuts.

A Year That Changed Much

"A Year of Slipping The Leash", your other(s) title, is aptly descriptive. The cultural devolution we've so rapidly engaged in (by any anthropological std.), culminating in irrational abominations such as extensive and now socially inculcated sexual license between and among men, consumating finally in homosexual 'marriage, a social construct entirely foreign to any previous society, artificial and often abortifacient birth control, (the nauseating, egregious list just goes on and on), ending horrifically and catastrophically in abortion on demand, has just decimated, literally, more than literally, our society. We're not at all what we once were, a very bad thing, by orders of magnitude, whatever the crazed libs may say to the...

"...whereas FedEx's trucking operations exist to feed its air fleet and distribute what it carries."

Untrue. While FedEx isn't the trucking co. UPS is, they do ltl longhaul pkg trucking in addition to gnd parcel svc. (and in a nod to the railroad labor situation, both load trailers (and containers as well, I think) onto intermodal (cross country) unit trains. Also both co.s do ocean container & frt forwarding. See their websites.

I have one further point which is only peripherally related to this discussion. When the economy was going hot & heavy before the bubble burst a few yrs ago I heard rumors that Wally World was negotiating to buy APL, all of it, from Neptune Orient Lines, a Singaporean shipping co., for their...

Haha Geo. Homerun.
True, funny and ironically tragic.
You're one of the few columnists who's actually sometimes worth what he's paid.

"This is not the administration's fault, the administration's defenders say, because government is cumbersome, sluggish and inefficient. But this sunburst of insight comes as the administration toils to enlarge governmental control of health care, energy, finance, education, etc."

Haha. Isn't that the obvious truth, obvious to everyone except the whacked out Obamabot leftist loons.

Haha. Pretty good Geo. Funny. And true.

So much for Obama's attempts at 'governing from the center' some version of which he may have have actually wanted to try to implement at the outset of his adm., but which was futile from the getgo in view of his own mindset, and in view of the whacked out leftists with whom he's (inevitably and unavoidably (from his point of view) surrounded himself (e.g Sotomayor, another flaming leftist 'judge' politician)).
We're in for a roller coaster ride now.
He should demonstrate some courage, character and wisdom and listen to the Pope.

In what way is Kennedy, who considers himself
the National Grand Wizer conservative?

If the supreme libs (and the rest of the 'judiciary' generally) would try either a little honesty, explicitly admitting their continued 'judicial' politicking and "'legislation' by judicial fiat", or simply start adhering to God's Morality, traditional moral stds., you wouldn't see these ongoing asinine and irrational 5-4 splits on matters of such great import. But I guess it'll continue as long as people are dumb enough to put up with it, which has been an awful long time now.
Law isn't math pretty obviously, and legitimate differences of opinion will inevitably occur. But the continuing and nauseating spate of opinion (which is...
