White House Visitor List Just Released

It wasn't THE Bill Ayers or THE Jeremiah Wright - it was two entirely different people who happen to have the same names. Look in your local phone book - I bet you can find a dozen William Ayers and Jeremiah Wrights. You've been duped but you'll believe anything so long as in your tiny minds it reflects poorly on the President.
Since when was Norway an "enemy of our country"??? The Nobel Peace prize is actually decided upon by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, its members, 5 of them, appointed by the Norwegian parliament. Those Norwegians eh... real enemies of America!!! Try finding out some facts before you post pig-ignorant comments... you probably couldn't find Norway on map...
I'm not going to say that it was fully deserved - it's a fair indication that this was a slow year! That said, he has reached out to the rest of the world (of which the population of this country is a mere 4% or thereabouts) in a way that GWB could never do, or at least never attempted to do. In so doing he has revived this country's standing in the eyes of the rest of the world. I know you think that the rest of the world doesn't matter... well, as I say perhaps a slow year but outside of the Townhall right he remains an incredibly popular figure who has done much in his first nine months to undo the damage done by the last administration. You can disagree all you like but that's the truth.
You are correct... except that the closing date for nominations was February. The actual vote took place this week. This lot are too busy wallowing in their own hatred dung to realise what a tiny minority they are...

Liz Cheney Slams Obama's Dover Salute

Andrew570 Wrote: Oct 30, 2009 1:22 PM
It's completely hilarious that Cheney should "slam" Obama for doing something that Bush never did once, as far as ALL available evidence tells us. And as for a photo op, do a Google images search for Bush and Bethesda or Bush and Walter Reed and there he is, in glorious technicolor, having a photo op at those places.

It is only right and proper that the president, whoever it may be, take some time to honor the dead as well as the wounded. In fact, some might say more proper to honor the dead than the living. Good on Obama for doing that - I expect that the troops welcome it.

Mind you, Liz Cheney is a complete loon who has a weaker grasp on the truth than even Sarah Palin, so why should I be surprised that she is lying...
You are entitled to interpret what Obama has done in any way you want. If that's your interpretation, then fine. Personally I don't see it that way. Making enemies is easy. And so Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize, and is condemned by Hamas, the Taliban and the RNC. 'Nuff said.
I mean, you think that the Nobel Peace Prize is a joke anyway, so I have no idea what you are fussing about. I am sure Obama is pretty embarrassed - someone nominated him, a bunch of the committee voted for him. He didn't ask for it, he didn't lobby for it and he didn't go to Stockholm to make a speech to them. Anyone can be nominated - Hitler was, and so was your very own Rush Limbaugh. Neither won it, but I am sure if Rush had won it you'd all be delighted. As for you all claiming it's a bit premature, well that doesn't stop you damning his presidency on a daily basis, does it? And that hasn't stopped the likes of Michelle Malkin writing books damning his presidency. So put a cork in it and stop cheering on the opposition for a minute...

Barack Obama's Guest List: Malik Shabazz

You lot at Townhall get dumber by the day.
I enjoyed reading that - not often I can say that about a column on Townhall. Not sure how much of the theorising I actually agree with but an interesting read nonetheless.

If anyone is interested in historical fiction set around this time, with an emphasis on a Puritanical viewpoint, I recommend "Milton in America" by the brilliant writer Peter Ackroyd. It's hilarious and, as with all of Ackroyd's work, meticulously researched.

NY-23: Scozzafava Endorses Dem

Andrew570 Wrote: Nov 02, 2009 1:36 PM
This is turning into a delightful little spat. Of course, the only party that stands to lose on this is the GOP. If the Democrats lose an election for a seat that has been Republican since the days of Methuselah, it is hardly a damning indictment of Obama. And if they win it, it IS a damning indictment of the GOP's current purge of all moderate candidates. As it stands, it looks like Hoffman will win at a canter. So what. You could pin a red badge on a t*rd in NY-23 and it would still likely win.
