In a perfect world liberals would be conservatives and every American would be concerned about what is best for the country (more oil drilled in easer reachable places), actually resolving this oil spill and not playing politics as the Unqualified One and his Chicago thugs are, and that big business is good having a vested interest in delivering a product safely to the public. Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world. Liberals do not care what is best for the country, just what feels good at the time. Liberal environmentalists keep us from drilling in areas that are safer and easier to reach oil. According to a recent Gallup Poll, some 60% of the public believes that the federal government is doing a “poor” or “very poor” job in handling the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Why, then, would any sane individual support the idea of giving these same bumblers enhanced control of other key areas in our lives –like the health care industry, the car companies, or the banking system?

The looming environmental catastrophe not only reveals the hapless, flailing ineptitude of the Obama administration, but far more importantly demonstrates the limited ability of Washington itself to solve the big problems...
