For the last year (prior to Scott Brown's election) the republicans have been completely powerless to stop health care or any other bill that the democratic majority cared to pass and president Obama cared to sign. Despite all the posturing the problem all along has been that the health care bills (house and senate both) have been so driven by the left wing of the DEMOCRATIC party that despite commanding majorities in both houses they have been unable to get enough DEMOCRATS together to pass them.
