"they are the only group who cannot be sued for malpractice or incompetence."

Regarding that statement, are you referring to the lawyers that are elected to political positions or just lawyers in general? I'm a lawyer (not trial or litigation), and yes, lawyers can be sued for legal malpractice, which does include incompetence.

C'mon, Admit It. Twitter Is Useless

I would say that Twitter has its benefits, but it is mostly used as an outlet for people to post silly ramblings. I go on twitter to follow the organizations that I belong to, like the NRA, Federalist Society, and whatnot, since they mostly have links to interesting articles or legislation that is being proposed.

Oh, Canada!

I went to university in Canada, and I'm not surprised by this. Most of the students were ultra-liberal and claimed that you shouldn't insult or threaten violence or commit violence against anyone---unless that person is a conservative. (And oh, boy! Were these students riot happy! It seemed like every week there was an incident involving student protests, the police, and smashed glass.)

I've seen students burn US flags and shout hateful and disgusting things about Americans. Do you think they were investigated or prosecuted for their hate speech? Nope!

Were They Duped Or Were They Stupid?

I'm in the under 30 crowd, and most people my age have little to no knowledge of American history and current issues. They argue using their feelings instead of cold, hard facts. I graduated from college a few years ago, and that whole experience was a real eye-opener into the way liberals think. If you didn't agree with them, WATCH OUT! You were racist, uncaring, or a "spoiled, rich white" kid. (Funnily enough, these insults would be more apropriate if they were applied to the people hurling them.) I'm really not surprised that most of these people believed in the "hope and change" garbage.
