The "Costs" of Medical Care: Part IV

As it stands now according to the CDC the US spends between 15-16% of gross domestic product for healthcare. This is nearly twice as much as other industrialized countries and we still have poorer health outcomes (US ranks 36th in life expectancy, infant mortalitiy, etc.) and we still have 46 million uninsured. That is unsustainable. At some point the numbers of uninsured will increase driving up the cost of premiums for people with insurance. As healthcare cost escalate, it will eat up more and more of GDP. There will come a point where no one except the very rich will be able to afford healthcare. The argument between right and left really boils down to the role of gov't. Those of us on the left believe that gov't should do for people...

Health Care and the Moral Imperative

What gets me about JCP and his ilk is not only do they not have anything of any substance to say but, when they do talk or wirte its lies and distortions and straw man arguments. This is in addition to the rank hypocrisy demonstrated by republicans. They say they want independence from foriegn oil but won't support green jobs. They say they value the sanctity of life but, turn a blind eye to the suffering of children Republicans are supposed to be the party of small gov't but yet stated a billion dollar a day war based on lies. If they truly believed in state's rights, the leave my medical marijuana alone. Let me marry the consenting adult that I choose. If you are against abortions DON'T HAVE ONE!!!

JCP, the RNC took down some virulent racist commentary after "allowing" it to remain posted for six days. I sincerely believe that the RNC wrote and posted the commentary as test balloons determining how far it will go with race-pejorative messaging during the 2010 campaign. People who believe in the racist remarks that they write, speak or act, like the Crip/Bloods remarks that are documented as spoken by Limbaugh, don't have a place at any table of inclusive endeavor. CONservatiive Supreme Court Justice Scalia is on record saying he would made a dissent in the historic Brown decisions. Those decisions were deliberately delivered with unanimous dissent, yet Scalia would have dissented? Yes, people, there were two Brown decisions. Check...

You really really should not argue witha fool. Given the vitriol, lies, distortions and straight out racism from the party of no, I can't believe that JCP even wrote this shyt. I believe that the rethugs think that if they keep repeating the same lies that it will become the truth. JCP and his ilk are living in an alternate reality. BTW it was other white conservatives who did not want to sell Rush the St Louis Rams. He would have tainted the NFL brand for all 32 teams. Free enterprise works both ways. You are free NOT to sell someone a service or product. Remember those signs "we have the right to refuse service to anyone." Why would Rush want to join communistic group where they share the profits?
