We veterans are not super heroes, most of us are not even heroes. We were either drafted or we felt a Call to take up arms to serve & protect this Nation. Most of us served with honor. We did our jobs to the best of our abilities regardless of how hard that job was. Many of us still feel that Oath we took before we put on the Uniform is still valid & binding. Many of us encourage our children to serve as well if they're of the correct temperment. We are not super heroes..... We are Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, & Marines. We are Veterans.

To all the veterans of the Armed Forces, today and every day: Thank you.  Thank you for every sacrifice you and your famillies make to keep us safe and free. God bless you all.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
