In response to:

The Malicious Mangling of the Virgin Mary

Dreadhead said.... That word, ALL is not a literal truth. Not in the case of Christ's holy mother. Paul didn't know the Virgin Mary, either. ________________________ Yet Paul was supposed to be moved, influenced, inspired to write as he did by the Holy Spirit. So either Paul is wrong or your RCC is Dread.

Actually that doesn't follow. Paul didn't say All in the literal sense.

We know he wouldn't, if sinful men men ever applied it to Jesus' own mother. There's only one reason men can be hateful toward the Virgin Mary. To harm the Catholic Church. By prying the faithful away from her, the Holy Church of Jesus and His apostles. Jesus said it; "An enemy hath done this." You are an enemy of Jesus Christ.

I do have my faults, Amy. And you never argued truthfully at me; just insolently. And you lost the arguments.

Your main problem, other than narcissistic arrogance, is you lost your immortal soul. And you THINK you're very clever; but you aren't.

I do not argue with insolence Dread.
Truth is my weapon of choice. It's not my fault that you don't like the truth.
I use the writings of catholic clerics quite frequently, if you don't like that then take it up with those who support those clerics.
The RCC has changed it's dogma & doctrine over time, absorbing Pagan / Heathen practices to make assimilation of the followers of those faiths flow smoothly.

One of the Pagan / Heathen practices is the near universal presence of a Goddess. Even early Judaism had the Goddess figure of Astarte. She was discarded when the patriarchal forces rose to prominence. Since the Jews were a tribal peoples they didn't need to accept, entice, or convert other peoples so the presence of a Goddess was not needed. However once Christianity came to the fore & the RCC wanted temporal power as well as spiritual power then conversion was seen as good. There had to be adjustments to ease the conversion process.

Truth is your enemy, not weapon. You oppose the truth for the love of homosexual vice.

You're stupid to think you know Catholic doctrine. No matter what I like.

And my name is Dreadnaught. Not dread head. My name means Be Not Afraid; words Jesus said during his time on earth, to those He loved.

FALSE. Amy. You invent your balderdash; just as you invent the phony deity Odin. You're a spiritual trainwreck.

RE: Paul
My response:
Paul was not God. He was inspired by God to say what God wanted him to say. Paul did not necessarily have to know about the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was not omniscient.

So your Deity would keep important knowledge on doctrine from the apostle to the Gentiles yet reveal it later to the Gentiles?
I'm sorry FC but that is just not logical.
Dreadnaught011 Wrote: Nov 16, 2012 9:53 PM

What a clown!

God is infinitely TRUTHFUL; without error. He revealed Mary's Immaculate Conception. No one else could have.

You may deny His revelation. It's OK. That's why you'll be damned.

Aand YOU appealing to "logic," Amy-- that's ridiculous. You believe in fairy tales and gods who never existed. You believe in comic characters.
A Christian can be crushed gazing at the picture of Mary standing at the foot of the cross, watching her beloved son suffocate and die. But in that vision, she stands there for hours, patiently enduring her suffering. For two millennia, she has been a role model for Christians, a woman who practiced obedience in the most difficult of human circumstances, with fervent hope for what this sacrifice will offer all mankind as it struggles with sin.

This is why it seems so hard to reflect that vision of patience when black-hearted "artists" practice character assassination on the Blessed Virgin...
