We mostly want to be left alone. The left wants to micromanage, and they make constant proposals to redistribute this or reform that. So typical Republicans are always forced to answer leftist challenges with calls for compromise and bipartisanship, rather than starting from the opening position of "no" and moving on to "hell no." And they are required to do all this in a calm tone, so that they may be better ignored in media accounts of the discussion. In...

The Representative's response was entirely understandable, by the way. By the way as of 8:00 PDT tonight he has already profusely apologized. What makes me mad is the all too predictable response by the feeble, worthless, confused, disoriented and irrelevant Senator McCain, who has never missed an opportunity to (a) bend over for "my friends across the aisle," and (b) admonish and criticize those of his own party who actually take this stuff seriously.

And McCain and the other worthless, ashamed-of-their-base Republican nomenklatura, are the number-one reason why we have what we have in the White House now. Thanks old dude!
