Is Demography Destiny?

I think more people voted for Obama because of the scare tactics and bullying measures used by the Democrats rather than the GOP not saying it like it is. The line"Romney policies are the ones that got us into the trouble in the first place" was drastically incorrect but believable to those who don't see the whole picture. Obama is a terrible president, but very good at convincing the public whatever way he wants to go. Put Romney up against any other Democratic candidate, and I think he could win.

My Thoughts on the Election

Tuesday night after the election, I felt angry, sad, and frightened for our country. I even felt abandoned by God knowing how many prayers were being said for the ousting of our current president. When it didn't happen, I felt my faith in God and prayer weaken. Miraculously, in this weakened state, I knelt down in fervent prayer asking verbally for peace and understanding. Before the end of the day (Wednesday), my soul was comforted. I believe that Mitt Romney is an incredible man. I didn't start out that way, but the signs are all there. I don't believe that his running was all for naught. I believe there is a purpose to what has taken place in our country. We can and must trust in God and continue to pray for our freedom and country.

An Open Letter to Mitt Romney

I too believe in Mitt Romney. We will never find a better man. The way in which he stepped down when he lost was far beyond impressive. It was presidential. A characteristic that I have yet to see in our current president. If only Obama would learn from Mitt and reach across the isle and use bi-partisanship to get us out of our economic mess. Instead, Obama uses divisive measures that demonize and criticize the very American citizens that he is suppose to represent. A President Romney would have taken many more hits from the media. Mean ugly jibs would have continued and I believe attempts would be made to undermine any success. Instead, Romney gets to enjoy his life and health. May he do so with our blessing.
You just made my day...week...maybe life. What do you have to say about the Senate?

I'm part of the 47% and am not one bit offended. Why must we allow the liberals to make much ado about nothing. Govenor Romney is 100% correct. Did he mean what he said to get out and potentially offend anyone? Of course not. Would he have ever said that in an open forum? Of course not. Is he off base in thinking that a non-tax payer cares about lower taxes for everyone else? Of course not.. Govenor Romney, my news to you is that I'm still 100% behind you! Carry on beat Obama. The rest of you complainers... wake up and think this through...then vote Romney/Ryan.

I totally agree. I think Romney stood tall in defending his position and if America is as smart as I believe it is, it will focus on the fact that 47% is not able to "pay their fair share". I am sometimes in that category and don't want to be. I'm voting for a president that is going to help me learn to fish not lure me into voting for him with the promise of more government handouts with no cost to me. Can't get something for nothing. Right now I'm already concerned that I won't be able to afford the "tax" I'm going to have to pay for not having the "right" kind of health insurance. Obama won't raise taxes on the middle class? Baloney! He already has. Why isn't everyone screaming about that?

Can Republicans Talk?

amy185 Wrote: Sep 18, 2012 3:00 PM
I think the problem is a grossly biased media. I have many times heard good defense from the GOP, but they can't get it out to the public at large. This liberal favoritism is everywhere. My grandson is studying lying and politics in a high school class. The information given the students claims that Obama by himself has 20% "pants on fire" while the whole GOP gets 13% "pants on fire". How is that a fair comparison? The whole GOP verses one? and look at the type of lies being told. Often the GOP gets accused of lying when they call changes to the welfare program "gutting" verses "changing". Why aren't Obama's 20% lies not exposed by the media? His claims seem to be picked out of the air without any backing at all.
Wow! I hope more of us can see the "good" in Mitt Romney. He is our only hope because I too can see that if Obama gets another 4 years, we truly are finished as a free country with limited government and free enterprise. I'm scared to death that there aren't enough good people like Mr. Root that can see through the current president, put their prejudices aside and hope for some Reagan in Romney. Please, America, have faith in our one last hope.

The left just keep doing what the left does best (possibly because that's the only trick they have left)--demonize, bully, name call, belittle, whatever it takes to get voters not to internalize truth. The media I heard also accused Chris Christy of distorting the truth. I read a great deal, and can't imagine what they were referencing. Everything Mr. Christy said was documented or observed or common knowledge. Why and how does the media get away with their slanted views? I can't put a finger on it.

Romney and the Rapist

When Abraham Lincoln ran for President, he didn't run on a platform to free the slaves. If he had, it's obvious what would have happened. Mitt too must be a good politician to save our country from BO. It is clear to many of us that we are on the brink of disaster. Waiting any longer is not an option. Therefore, Mr. Romney must pick his battles carefully. He cannot reach for everything at once, or he (and therefore we) loose it all. Come on guys... think it through. If Mitt is a good Mormon like it appears, he'll take steps in the direction we all want in regards to the millions of abortions each and every year. In the meantime, he's got to get elected!
