Cads for Choice!

Say a man makes the decision that he does not want to put himself in the same situation that Toure had put himself. So, all at his OWN expense, he goes to his doctor, freezes some sperm, and has a vasectomy. Would social conservatives find this man's actions responsible or evil?

I'd say he's being responsible and smart as he won't find himself at the mercy of women who "forget" to use contraception.

NO SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE. God's plan.

That's fine for you if that is your belief. And of course you should be free to try to persuade others of your point of view. However, not all of us believe as you do.

as long as he let all women know what he did, probably yes. if he didn't get permission from his block mother however, not so much.

I know it's old-fashioned, "regressive", "oppressive" and whatever other pejoratives we care to throw at it, but sex should only be between married men and women. It's the kids who seem to always pay the biggest price, whether through the outright murder of abortion, or broken homes, etc.

Sex, contrary to modern notions is more than about biology or even about children. It entails emotional, psychological and even spiritual bonds that are ignored at our peril. In some ways, ancient pagans, understood this better than us moderns, as sex was often (wrongly) connected in many ways to religion.

But hey, we're more sophisticated, right? Or maybe we substitute priests in robes for guys in lab coats and stone altars for stainless steel

Sounds pretty responsible to me

That's a step in the right direction. However, it does not protect him from catching an STD. If he doesn't think a woman is "the one", how about if he skips the sex part altogether.

At least Toure is honest.

On the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the MSNBC commentator literally thanked God and country for abortion. Fifteen years ago, he was in a “committed relationship” with a woman “who I knew was just not the one.” As Toure explained:

“She got pregnant, and I was terrified…I knew that pregnant woman and I were not going to be able to form a lasting family. She decided it was best to have an abortion and days later she did, we did, and in some ways that choice saved my life. I remain committed to being pro-choice...
