The "inerrant word" is a flawed teaching. Even if the Bible is inerrant, context matters. The laws about when I could have sex with my slave girl are quite irrelevant today. Even if the Bible is inerrant, interpretations aren't, and every reading of the Bible is an interpretation. Every time a preacher chooses one passage over another it is an interpretation. Too many preachers use inerrant word to imply their preaching is inerrant, which is the grave sin of idolatry, putting themselves over God.
