"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader." --Samuel Adams, letter to James Warren, 1779

"In the end, the American people want a government that works for them, that gets things done and projects an aura of possibility and potential. Let's hope it passes the test." Our Constitution was written by the governed to protect them from the government, and to provide limited authority to do a few things that the states couldn't or shouldn't. Like Publius, I want the government to stay out of my business, get out of my way and off my back

There is no moral equivalency between what happened in all of the embassy deaths under Ronald Reagan or George Bush since there isn't any evidence that he ignored or denied requests to upgrade security, failed to provide contingencies on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on US soil, or failed to send military help when an embassy called for help, or then lied about what happened for political gain. The action and inaction and lies from this administration is simply amazing from one that said it would be the most transparent in history. You're a simpleton.

Please let us not forget that evil exists on this planet. The only way to prevent evil is to confront it, and if necessary dispatch it if it doesn't back down. Think of all the lives that would have been saved if someone had stood up to Hitler instead of taking the position that "I believe we will have peace in our time."

And who wrote the present law establishing and enforcing gun free school zones??? Yup, none other than Senator Biden, the one now the "leader" of the gun violence task force. Even the title of the task force tells you all you need to know. Why isn't it the school violence task force? Or just the violence task force?

Did you really expect a different result?
Please look at the results of the 2010 midterm elections. I would hardly say that was a DemocRAT victory. If getting a job allows for Sandra Fluke to pay for her own birth control, then so be it. However, if you listen to Mr. Walsh he has a bigger point. Why does a person like Sandra Fluke think that she has even a right to ask our Federal Government to pay for her birth control? Because despite her college education that includes an advanced degree from Georgetown University Law School, she thinks it's the Federal Governments role to do so because that is what she has been taught despite the clear role that our Founders had regarding spending taxpayer money on things not related to it's stated and Consitutionally limited roles. ...
Whether Joe Walsh has a good life or not isn't the point. Sandra Fluke has no right to my money, and any Federal elected official that thinks that my money should be spent on her birth control isn't fit to continue to be elected to office. "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." James Madison
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams
Ford received a government backed loan, they didn't receive a bailout. Additionally, the federal government didn't allowed GM and Chrysler to avoid the normal bankrupcy process. This violated one of the most important first principles of our Constitution and our Founding Fathers. We are a nation of laws, not men, and the Federal Government is supposed to be there to protect all citizens from others who would infringe upon their rights. In this case the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT at the direction of our President, was the agent of the violation of our laws. THAT IS WHAT WAS WRONG ABOUT THE BAILOUTS!
