The police do not have any responsibility to individuals only the public at large. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia I don't know about any "stand down" order given but there was a considerable police presence during the riots in Ferguson, so anyone would have a hard time arguing that the police were not protecting the public at large.

Ferguson Won't Go Away

Two ironies that I can think of that this whole tragic incident has occurred to me. 1. By most accounts Darren Wilson appears to have been a good officer. The effect of the "community" and the press has been the resignation of this officer, when in fact it appears that he was a benefit to Ferguson. 2. Protestors around the country continue to use the "Hands Up Don't Shoot" theme. Three autopsies have proven that Michael Brown could not have had his hands up as some witnesses have indicated when he was shot and more importantly the same person who said that Michael Brown had his hands up, also indicated that Officer Wilson shot him in the back after he was on the ground, also proven false by three autopsies. If Michael Brown had only put his hands up this whole tragic event wouldn't have happened. How sad.
No, he's the official who signed off on the paperwork. Obama is the one who officially authorized it, otherwise why would he give Holder Executive privilege?
Again Judicial Watch has been the point of the spear on the Fast and Furious program and it's ties to the administration. If you aren't supporting this organization you should!
Vincent Cefalu an agent for BATFE was fired by his superiors in the parking lot of a Denny's restaurant in 2012 for a single charge of "a lack of candor" related to his testimony in a criminal case. In fact it was nothing more retribution for Agent Cefalu acting as a whistle blower beginning in 2005 for criminal activity by BATFE supervisors for using an illegal wiretap. On October 7th 2014 the BATFE case was decided in his favor. See; http://www.examiner.com/article/atf-settles-termination-case-with-whistleblowing-agent-cefalu and; http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2014/10/07/after-inappropriate-firing-atf-settle-lawsuit-with-agent-vince-cefalu-n1901826 To describe BATFE as dysfunctional and in disarray is an understatement. Keep in mind that there are thousands of good agents who want to do the right thing, but supervisors and the upper management of the agency and their insistence to do Holders and Obamas bidding, has made it an agency rife with illegal and immoral bureaucrats that need to be removed.
Hillary Clinton believes that law abiding citizens cannot be trusted with firearms. In my opinion that makes her ineligible for the position of President.
"It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions." Letter to Peter Carr from Thomas Jefferson, 1785
What more lies from both the President and the retired Secretary of State? Say it isn't so? "It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and a third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good disposition." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, 1785
This is the same PA State Attorney General that refused to defend the PA Traditional Marriage Law. http://www.wtae.com/news/local/pennsylvania-attorney-general-kathleen-kane-wont-defend-gay-marriage-ban/20937588 First she won't do her job and now she stops an investigation with dirty politicians on tape taking money and financial gifts and says that it's racism. Sounds like a AG Holder wanna be.
One of the best posts that I've seen on why income re-distribution by government shouldn't be done, not to mention that the Constitution doesn't allow it and wanting what others have is a sin according to the Ninth Commandment.
