Texan........obviously YOU have a very sheltered experience when it comes to just WHAT seriously qualifies as Oscar-worthy. There hasn't been a single film made in the last 20 years that has ANY Oscar-worthy components in it. While there are some mildly entertaining films made (very very very few) the "cheapening" of the Hollywood industry has produced really cheap films. Example......."The Hunger Games" brought in more money in the first weekend of showing than any movie ever before that. Excuse me......THE HUNGER GAMES.........GIVE ME A BREAK

Aw, come on now Carol - go rent 'Team America'. You might even come away agreeing that Michael Moore and 'Arek Bowren' (president of F.A.G.) need Oscars for their roles also....

Speaking of Ben Affleck - Another great quote from a great song 'Pearl Harbor Sucks' in 'Team America' - 'I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school'......

Obviously you've never seen "Team America"....

Actor Matt Damon has a new movie coming out on January 4 called "Promised Land." Damon made the film with a goal of exposing the so-called havoc fracking wreaks on local communities. The problem? Damon received his funding for the film from the United Arab Emirates, a country poised to make billion of dollars in oil money if fracking is banned in America. This is a fact Damon denies.

Last week, pro-fracking filmmaker Phelim McAleer confronted Damon about the funding of Promised Land.
