In response to:

Democrats: Absent Tax Hikes, We're Totally Willing to Head Over the Fiscal Cliff

Let me get this straight.....Koch Bros. flunky Guy Benson and Townhall are whining about the 'fiscal cliff' and THEN they have the gall to quote Mitch McConnell, obstructionist and do-nothingness incarnate himself??????? WHAT???? What unmitigated BS. The Republicans/Conservatives who willingly - repeat, willingly - stood by through the financial meltdown from 2001-2008 and STILL continue to do nothing - repeat, NOTHING - about any kind of fiscal responsibility are complaining about the 'blue' position. You have GOT to be kidding me. Where do "you people" (got that from one percenter, Ann Romney) get the nerve. Please stop propagandizing and actually DO something besides demonizing our president and the majority of the citizens.

Other than vote for a tax hike that will fund government for a week, what do you want Republican representatives to DO?

I didn't hear you mention that we've had no budget from the President, or any plan to correct this economy except to raise taxes on middle class Americans making $251,000 and above, oh yes... and to print and spend more money.

American, instead of emoting, why don't you learn first?

A. there was no financial meldown betwen 2001 to 2008 we had 52 months of continual grown, at least until 2007 Democrat took over
B. The reason why GOP doesn't want to raise taxes is because we are in recession, and because we need revenu INCREASE not decreased... I realize that you don't understand economy, but when you raise income taxes people change behavior.
C. Doing the wrong thing is not "do nothing" it is destructive. It is far better doing nothing than do things that destroy.

So learn first, emote later. It is amazing to me just how incredibly quick to attack Liberals are, but how little they understand.

A. Do you call the loss of $14 Trillion - TRILLION - of our nation's wealth not a 'meltdown?' Man, what are you smoking?
B. I realize YOU don't understand economics. The issue is DEMAND; not Suplply. Read some texts, ok?
C. Doing nothing from McConnell has been destructive. We should have been investing and stimulating the economy all this time.
So YOU please do a little reading and cool it with your smugness.

You mean the way Mitch McConnell prevented the Senate from passing a budget, as they are required under the Constitution, for over 3 years? Oh wait, the Dems control the Senate. So you're just full of carp, huh?

"financial meltdown from 2001-2008".

Oh yea useful idiot, there was no job growth or revenue coming in during those years.

History revision by libs, you can always count on it.

Profoundly irresponsible?  Of course.  Politically insane?  Not really.  I'll expound on the second point in a moment, but first, let's survey the brazen talk from Team Blue -- with massive, recession-inducing tax hikes hanging in the balance.  Our new friend Patty Murray is at the front of the line:

Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) says that if Republicans do not agree to let tax cuts expire for Americans making over $250,000 per year, the country should go over the fiscal cliff, which would allow automatic cuts in spending and the expiration of all tax cuts to...
