And they gave Obama and the Dems the back of their hand, preferring to agitate their base with tea-party nonsense, and then when it worked in 2010, to hold out on any compromise in the hopes that Obama would be Jimmy Carter or something. And in the process, you have prolonged the downturn, constraining and constricting the economy with stupidass misdirections like focusing on public debt at a time when government borrowing rates are at historic low levels.

Did he ask when he and his supermajority in Congress slammed through their bills? Did he ask when he told them they could get in the car but that they had to get in the back?
