Notwithstanding the "Barney Frank did it" argument, the crash was classic credit cycle stuff: private sector over-leverages, private sector de-leverages. Not much more to it than that. The issue is, whose policies of underregulation and market-idolatry led to the overleverage in the first place. Hint: it was some of the Democrats, and ALL of the Republicans, including the Bush White House and the 12 year stint of a Republican Congress.

Where were you buddy? Were you working in the mortgage lending industry? NO....that is a resounding NO and you have the horrific gall to pretend you know anything about it.

So if the crash was "classic credit cycle stuff" why didn't all of the government geniuses simply shore up the bad loans? Why did GM need a bail-out? Why did the States need cash? Further, are you asserting that GSE's such as Freddie and Fannie had NO hand in the crash? If so, you really have NO clue.

Mr. Bipartisan, President Obama, apparently hasn't done much to reach out to Republican Senators about getting his second term agenda passed and when I say hasn't done much, I mean hasn't done anything at all. More from POLITICO:

President Barack Obama will need Republican senators to pass his ambitious agenda — and the White House has even identified the top prospects.

But after months of buildup and a week since his State of the Union address, key aides on the Hill and at the White House acknowledge that even GOP senators who fit Obama’s...
