Every time I see Dutch Party for Freedom leader Geert Wilders interact with America, I am struck anew by how deeply he confounds us. We aren't used to hearing the truth, particularly about Islam, expressed by a politician -- of all people! -- who not only says what he's found to be true, but also acts on it.

Not only are they not the same they are not compatible,
and when you read the constitution and understand sharia law they also are not compatible.
And why do you consider those behaviors to be offensive, anyway? After all, if we're the accidental byproduct of a cosmic burp some umpty-billion years ago, who cares?
1. Capital punishment of adulterers, homosexuals, and those that practiced witchcraft, sorcery and divination were part of the theocratic law of ancient Israel, consistent with God's purpose for them.
2. There is nothing said about enslaving "dark skinned people" - conquered people, yes. There are also specific laws about how they are to be treated with dignity and respect.
3. Proverbs does talk about beating a rebellious child - but not "to death". It specifically says "he will not die" (despite his pleas to the contrary).
4. The laws about marrying a "raped" woman are for the MEN and make them accountable.
